First, you might want to consider getting a CoCo SDC rather than a Floppy. Floppies are getting harder to get blanks for and one SD card can store a lot of floppy images plus the SDC is fully compatible with all the games like Gaunlet II. That said, 3.5 inch floppies work fine in low density mode. To force low density mode you can either use 720k floppy disks, use 1.44mb floppies and cover up or fill in the 1.44 detector hole, or disable the 1.44 detector on the drive. High density 5.25 inch drives are much more problematic but some can be made to work in 720k quad density mode. Another option is a Gotek USB drive emulator with the Hxc2001 firmware.
