I usually trim the html crap 100%. Except for the windows people that
think its cute to send all that fancy stuff and don''t klnow how to turn it
off, AND aren't interested in learning how because its pretty on their
screen. But it will often quaduple the size of a 10 line message they are
sending and don't care!
There are still places on this planet where that wasted bandwidth can amount
to a huge penalty for that user when he goes to pay his net bill even if he
is paying for it in scrawny chickens.
We should be ashamed of ourselves.
Nick, you made a comment quite a few years back about the net bandwidth for
the internet getting to Aussie land wasn't much faster than a telephone
modem because it was passing thru the original Telstar satellite. I'd assume
there are better birds out there now, but did any of the big boys ever lay
in a mutlicore fiber cable?
