[Coco] FPGA the future of coco?

I don't think the problem is whether we have faith in the idea. I'm sure
we all want to see a CoCo4 and FPGA is certainly the way to do it.
The problem is, who has the knowledge and inclination to actually do it?
You do realise that there already is a CoCo3FPGA with extra "CoCo4"
features?
It's incomplete and not ready for mainsteam yet (or ever will be?).
Price is also a factor. This sort of stuff isn't cheap in a small scale
as is the CoCo community.
Personally, I think if someone were to create a "CoCo4" for the MIST
FPGA board, it would be more viable since there are so many other
emulations already available for it including Amiga and Atari ST. It has
the advantage of being of interest to a wider community and so would
have a larger market share than something targeted at a single user
audience.
If the Mist can do an Amiga and Atari ST, I'm sure a CoCo4 would be
quite do'able.

Any takers?
