[arg_discuss] Alternate/Alternative Reality Game?

Amm... May I ask one more question?
Actually, "Alternate Reality Game" and "Alternate Reality Gaming" are
confusing for us.
Is latter simply a gerund, which means "playing ARG", or...
Does it reflect some philosophy, such as ARG is not a game but an experience?
