[arg_discuss] Ads in Augmented Reality Raise Warning Flags

AR as in "augmented reality" isn't much to do with ARG as in
"alternate reality game." Much more in common with what augmented
reality people would call mixed reality, if anything.

For clarity, for the sake of the list: This is the Alternate Reality
Games SIG, dealing with games that use multiple real-world channels of
communication to convey the desired play experience and narrative to
the intended audience. Nothing to do with augmented reality, virtual
reality, virtual worlds, etc., excepting that these can be tools used
in the ARG toolset, as can be blogs, emails, phone calls, pizza
deliveries, parties in hot clubs, and so on.

As such, ads cluttering augmented reality spaces, not a concern,
excepting that it might remove augmented reality from the list of
tools that ARG designers might consider using.

Happy New Year!
