[arg_discuss] Introductions - part 2

My interest in ARGs started with Majestic. I had just completed my BS in
Computer Science with a Fine Arts minor and was working at a video game
store until I decided what college I was headed to next for a Masters. At
the time there weren't many colleges that focused on game design and since
that was what I wanted to get into, I was taking my sweet time making that
decision. I was intrigued by the concept behind Majestic and pushed the
game like crazy at the store. It was the most "innovative" thing I had ever
played, even with its problems. Shortly before the game ended I had met a
lovely farm boy from Wisconsin. He distracted me from the gaming world for
a while by somehow convincing me to marry him and have a child.

I jumped back in when I discovered Push, Nevada. I was shocked to find that
there were other games like Majestic that weren't sold in a box on the
retail shelf and I was disappointed that I had missed a few of the great
ones. After sticking around for a bit, I joined the "PM training" team for
Orbital Colony. I also was a part of the Omnifam PM team, although I did
join that party a little late and missed some of the initial dev work. I
did manage to sneak a clown into the game just for Krystyn Wells, but that's
another story for another thread.

I have a website that's mostly dedicated to ARGs and games at www.varin.org,
but I'm a bit behind on updates due to the above mentioned projects. One of
these days I'll actually get around to putting a portfolio up there too.
