[Coco] DriveWire 4 Installation

The common place Windows 7-11 uses for config files & such is the AppData folder. We had to do the same to VCC to avoid the permissions issues. VCC uses:
"C:\Users\%home%\AppData\VCC"

The "%home%" being the current user's name as defined by Windows. Most Windows programming environments recognize "%home%". Some may use just AppDataPath"\\VCC" if it is defined in a library. I'm sure there's other methods.

Hi Rob,

Glad to hear its working!

At the moment DriveWire4 looks for and saves its configuration in
several xml files located in its working directory. Windows is more than
likely stopping DriveWire from writing to "Program Files" since user
programs generally shouldn't have write access to that location.

Have you tried using the installer? If you do, select the default
install location or any other location that your account has write
permissions in.

If you end up using the installer, it will create a launcher icon to
make things a little easier.

One of the minimal changes I want to make to DriveWire 4 is to have it
save its configuration in a user directory so that it can be installed
in "Program Files".

Thanks,

Pedro
