OMG   I can not believe I missed your whole post on this.

I had the same problem with my 26_3022.  It would show DISK BASIC but not load a disk.  Its a pretty simple fix if you have a scope.  The 3022 is analog ,unlike the 3029 and newer digital controllers
You just need to adjust the 3 trim pots on the controller.  The controller will always show 'DIsK BASIC ' even if the pots are out of adjustment.
