I don’t really want to change the design (much), at least for this project, but…
The current design uses a keyboard with a PC/AT style connector. These
are electrically compatible with a PS/2 keyboard, so an adapter could be used,
or the jack could be changed with no difficulty.
The MM/1 uses a serial port mouse. Many PS/2 mice support working as a serial
mouse (PS/2-Serial combo mouse), and all that’s needed is an adapter plug.
Probably an ATX power supply, yes.
I have to look closer at the video circuitry as far as the VGA. The DAC can take a different
pixel clock, but I have to see where the clock is coming from, and how it relates to the
rest of the system. Possibly just a PLL circuit would be needed.
