Sounds odd.  The sdc's ldb mode can operate without halting, or shutting
off interrupts.  Shouldn't loose any keys. I guess you're using plain old
fdc driver then?

I notice better seek times with my cf than the sdc.  bit, I cant imagine
the data transfers being any slower.
