Hi Jim,
I am at a work stoppage point so I decided to try to catch up on some reading. I've started reading this thread backwards so I'm just learning what is going on. I just saw your take on the 8 slot MPI which is interesting. I don't know if you are interested, but I have Tim Gunnison's MPI entered into eagle, I just don't have the PCB layout done yet. Would you like to see it?

I'll put something in the store, but not sure if it'll be this 4 porter or an 8 porter. The 8 porter is just this unit... stretched, basically, so I figure I'll get his one done (correct size PCB, the cabling to detach, etc.), and then run a small batch of boards and hand solder a few for folks to test.
I am trying to see if there might be a way to put 1 conn at the end horizontal, 2 underneath, horizontal, and one off the side, to get 8 ports without the bulk/length. Not sure, but figured can't hurt to try.
Jim
