You would need as a "first link" between the palm pad and X10, an RF to 
powerline protocol convertor.  I use an RR501 which has a builtin relay 
to control things too. Its powerline output is caught by a CM11a so 
certain buttons can trigger X10 actions using 'heyu' on linux.  I have 
an LED night light plugged into mine, and its set to listen to an 
eagle-eye watching the front deck.  X10 also logs all that noise as the 
eagle-eye needs blinders to keep it from registering people walking down 
the street, or passing vehicles.  And its aimed parallel to the street, 
not at the street.
