Salvador, the DECB format is explained in the DECB user's manual and the OS9 format is explained in the OS9 manual. Both of which are available online in almost every Coco archive on the net.

Ok, I'm curious. If the DSK is just a raw image of the disk then it follows that
ts "format" is that of the operating system that wrote that image. So this begs
he next question (at least for me). How would I go about knowing the format of
he disk? In MS-DOS there was the boot sector (for floppies), followed by 2
opies of the FAT and finally the directory structure. Is such information
vailable for DECB and OS/9? (Assimng that NitrOS9 shares the same disk format
ith OS/9). Salvador

Would someone point me to the following:
Differences - absolutely none!
Both are raw dumps of sector data.

the contents of either disk image.
The DSK files *are* dumps of the disk image.
