[Coco] An interesting Korean CoCo2 - 26-3134 (no 'A' or 'B')

That board sounds like the first one I bought. It was a 16k plain color basic. It was the last run before the boards with the new video chip cam out. RS sold em out for $69 for about a year before dropping the price to near nothing when the new 64k/32k with the new video chip came in. I never understood why it was even made as the big thing was the release of the 64k machines before they made that one. All the Radio Shacks here were demoing it with an Orchestra 90 or game pak plugged into it, so I guess they were trying to get rid of it as a game machine for program paks. A "cheep Nintendo" LOL

Hi Bruce,

I'll have to double check, but, I'm 99.99999% sure the top label says
Radio Shack, and the model number is definitely 26-3134. That doesn't
mean someone didn't do a board transplant at some point (maybe there was
a problem and the owner took it to get serviced and someone at RS
decided it needed a new board?). I know it's not an earth shattering
find, but, this one kinda surprised me since it was so different than my
other CoCo2 models. This one does not have the upgraded video chip, either.
