[Coco] Bill Gates and CoCo BASIC assembly book

Hi guys, I've been asking around and I wanted to see if anyone could help
pinpoint the source of this rumor.

Bill Gates supposedly said in an interview published in a magazine (not sure
which one, Byte?) that a book would be published that contained the
commented source code for BASIC.

Does anyone know where I can find this article? I'm trying to see if I can
find the source code for Color BASIC.
