I typically use the leading slash to anchor all the URLs to the root of the 
website, but this may be a matter of personal taste. Not using the slash 
theoretically makes it easier to move and rename folders without having to 
edit a bunch of links, but I've found it can make it more difficult for a 
human to figure out where links are really pointing if say someone moves a 
file from folder X to folder Y and forgets to update the links to X/foo and 
there's also a Y/foo or a Z/foo. There shouldn't be duplicate foos in my 
book, but I don't live in a perfect world either. I think that's why someone 
coined snafu.
