Somewhat similar with me years ago too: I stayed with color slide film for economic reasons, much cheaper
than prints at the time, but nowadays prints can be cheaper than slides.
Never made a good roll of Anscochrome, never a bad roll of Ektachrome. This was due to first developer temp
control needing to be +- 1/2F for ca. 15 minutes. Anscochrome needed to be 75F, Ektachrome 68F, and since
basement ambient temp was usually near dead on 68F, well.... ;-) -ph

ice page, I had no idea you were also into chemistry. I have been too at
imes, with my most successful concoction being the color paper developer I
sed in my color darkroom for a decade or more. Many times longer life
itting in the controlled temp water bath than anything I could buy. But
hat seems like a long ago and far away time now. The only evidence I have
eft is a shot of mother & dad in '76 in my billfold, only very slightly
olor shifted in 34 years.
