Seconded.  I've purchased many eBay items from Canadian and British 
sellers over the past few years.  All of them have shipped via Royal Mail 
or Canada Post and there has been absolutely zero hassles.

UPS and FedEx are a giant PITA to deal with for international shipping. 
Just say no...
