I agree.

 I get my alcohol by the gallon for just this sort of thing. It's the best 
cleaner I have found. It can be found at any paint supply and even Wal-Mart. 
The cost is neglible and the benifits are overwhelming.

 DON'T USE IT NEAR AN OPEN FLAME!!! Been there, done that. DOH!

And it smells really great!
