Fellow programmers,

The M.E.S.S. emulator system which is launchable from Rainbow and
Portal-9, has changed slightly in a way that keeps both IDEs from
mounting any floppy disks. I am working to get updates posted
tonight at www.rainbowide.com and www.coco3.com.

If you've downloaded the latest version of M.E.S.S. and are having
these problems, please fall back to a previous version (of M.E.S.S.)
if you cannot wait on the IDE updates. Try version .106 or
.107. (www.mess.org)

The Rainbow IDE will be updated first to version 1.5 then I'll work
on Portal-9 probably tomorrow. Under the M.E.S.S. Options menu you
will get a new option for telling M.E.S.S. to use the "-flop" or
"-flop#" disk mounting scheme. During the Build process, I'll try to
capture the returned error from mess.exe if any and inform you via
the readout window if any aborts are caused by the "-flop" issue, and
then suggest you go to the M.E.S.S. Options menu and toggle the mode
I mentioned.
