Allen,
Dmode /i1 dns=1 makes /i1 the slave drive.  The source of the superdriver
states for IDE drives:
	IT.DNS: 
		Bit 0    value 0 Master, 1 Slave
Dmode /i0 dns=0 makes /i0 the master drive.
If you changed the value of DNS , that's when the drive became a clone of
/i0.
