In WS_FTP, try setting PASV mode. (Options -> Advanced -> Site -> Use
passive transfer mode).

Thought it sounds like an old stability problem I used to have with earlier
versions of the Windows stack. Of WinXP I have no idea, though.

What's your IP address? What day? I looked through yesterday, and there
were several incomplete transfers, but these were dropped on the client end
(generating a 200 "OK" code).

RTSI has free bandwidth over 2GB per day?
Last month I can just under my bandwidth quote (really just under 37MB
under my 60GB allotment) mostly because of a special music project I was
hosting from detritus.net. That demand I expected, but the project ended in
February. Suddenly there was a bigger draw being generated in the FTP area.
It was really just the sudden demand for entire directories rather than
individual documents. I can't imagine anyone was going to use 750GB in
documentation and programs all at once. :)
