Steve, My vote has to go with Gene on this one. About 2 years ago, I
submitted my Visa # to both PayPal and Yahoo Auction. My next Visa bill
showed both purchases and a 400 Deustchmark (sp) billing also. Visa
finally cleared it all up in about three months. They would not tell me
which company was at fault, but they did say that the company had to
make good on the German billing because of "poor security" (my quotes).
The reason I suspect PayPal is, at the time, they were really pinging
on me for any banking account number they could obtain above and beyond
my Visa card. I thought this was a little odd for a firm merely in
business ( at that time) to transfer funds. I may be totally wrong but
I'm not going to risk finding out.
