There are several hardware problems to overcome for the coupling, but it
is doable if you are determined enough.
It would probably be easier to start from scratch for the add on processor
The hardware and software for the interprocess communications is the issue.
The simplest thing would be to use the second processor as a dedicated
I/O coprocessor.
In the end you would end up with something like the Cloud-9 superboard,
but possibly with a dedicated processor.
