Hey all

As you may have heard the IGDA Board has decided to break the old
Membership and Programs Committee into small bite sized pieces...and
the SIGs now get their own Board committee.  This is a solid
reflection of how important the Board believes the SIGs are to the
IGDA!   I have attached a copy of the Committee Charter, if you're
interested in being on the Committee please read it carefully...there
may be a quiz later!

I volunteered to chair the committee and the other Board members on
the SIG are me, Brenda B., Erin H. and Wendy D.

We are looking for volunteers from the SIGs to sit on  the Committee.
We are also required to elect at least one At Large member to be on
the committee...so I will probably just have an election from among
those expressing interest and appoint as many of the rest of those who
volunteer as I can because I would prefer to accommodate as many as
want to be involved.  Also special preference will be given to foreign
SIG leaders, especially those outside of North America.

So, anyone interested, please check with your SIG to see who else
might be interested and then decide among yourselves.  Then contact me
directly at tom at igda.org with your name and the SIG you represent.

NOTE: Since being able to follow simple instructions is a requirement
for a seat on the committee responding on this list, not consulting
with your SIG or contacting me  at an email address other than the one
listed above will be considered a discommendation!
