i totally agree - soaps are great!  and i too was a guiding light watcher.
my grandmother got me hooked. .. sadly haven't watched in a long time.




i'm pitching to some daytime people right now.  soaps are in big trouble..losing 

audience and i'm trying to coax them to become interactive.   i would

love to work on an interactive soap. :)

I confess, I also used to watch soaps - mainly Guiding Light with a
side of General Hospital - but it was kind of a long time ago. I don't
watch 'em now, not because of any moral or artistic judgement, but
because I don't manage to watch TV most of the time, even shows I
really badly want to watch. TV schedules don't stick in my brain for
some reason. :)

Tying into the soaps, I've very badly wanted to make a romance ARG for
a couple of years, now, but obviously not yet managed it. But it could
be so awesome. Maybe when I'm done revising my novel I'll just up and
do something like that for the joy of it.
