point incorrectly -- indeed, the points I summarised were not my own, only

It didn't announce itself as an "Alternate Reality Game", as that phrase
wasn't coined until 2002 (by Sean C. Stacey in the player-created trail for
Lockjaw). It did, however, announce itself as a game with many of the
characteristics that we now attach to ARGs - which is probably what you and
Dave meant, but I figured I'd clarify :)
