[arg_discuss] Introduction

Hello, I thought I'd introduce myself here, although I'm sure I'll bump into
a swathe of you this week in Brighton.

I have a background in video games from 8-bit days, ran a middleware
company, wrote a couple of game development books, consulted for various
developers and publishers, and did contract research for next-gen
technology. I am currently a partner in a small UK&US venturing firm,
specialising in technology IP exploitation. I am involved in trying to seed
a new games development shop that has a vision for commercial cross-media
entertainment (rather than ARG in particular).
