[arg_discuss] Introductions

[Richard Sebastian]

My name is Richard Sebastian. I live in Richmond, Virginia. I am
currently a doctoral candidate in the Instructional Technology program
at the University of Virginia. In my professional life, I am in charge
of developing and managing a distance learning program for adult
learners in need of basic skills education.  I am also a filmmaker and
videographer, and can belt out a version of Styx's "Lady" that will
bring you to your knees (take that any way you like).

My academic interests include educational gaming, pervasive gaming,
and virtual learning environments. I am also very interested in the
educational applications of digital media technologies and social
communication tools, such digital video, podcasting, blogging, and
vlogging.   My central research interest, though, is investigating how
ARGs can be used for teaching and learning.  I am currently in search
of a worthy educational ARG to study for my dissertation. Send anyone
you know of who is doing this of my way.
