Aha - they were published but not tagged as the "people" category. Sorry 
about that - MT doesn't seem to have a "mass add" feature, so I had to 
do all the adding manually, one by one, and obviously I didnt notice I'd 
forgotten the category on a few of them :(.

Fixed now.
