This year's theme, "Laboratory Professionals: Delivering Results for a Healthier Tomorrow" succinctly summarizes the valuable role that laboratory professional play in providing high quality, safe healthcare for patients. Members of our profession practice in a variety of settings including patient care in hospital, clinic and reference laboratory environments, Additionally our members provide service in a variety of other arenas, including education, industry, public health, blood centers, research and development, among others. During this week, we take a specific opportunity to recognize and celebrate the contributions of laboratory professionals. Additionally, we have the opportunity to raise awareness of our profession with other healthcare professionals, the public, and decision makers in the regulatory and legislative arenas. Please take the opportunity to recognize and than your employees, co-workers and fellow professionals.
