As a rule, pregnancy causes dampness, which is probably more
physiological than pathological as the baby gets to float around in
fluids during its development. However pregnancy is known to cause
internal heat as well. For this reason, there is a popular herb combo
used on pregnant women.

This herb combo consists of Bai Zhu to strengthen the Spleen and dry
dampness, especially in the lower jiao.
Huang Qin to clear heat from the upper jiao, pregnancy leads to heat.
Xu Duan to strengthen lower back

Just a little fyi.
