Yes, I am a physician by training, but now I am directing my energies to 
learning TCM.  I am in the process of signing up for a course on
acupuncture.

To answer your question, Renee, I am a California Licensed Acupuncturist
who graduated from Emperor's College in 1997 and spent four months in
Kunming China treating patients in the Yunnan Province TCM Hospital.

I am currently an instructor of herbology at Emperor's College in Santa
Monica, California.   I also maintain an acupuncture and herbal practice
here in Santa Monica as well as on-line at:

I got into TCM after about 20 years of studies in Oriental philosophy
and 10 years of Chinese martial arts.

To this day, I can still talk my way out of getting my butt kicked. : )
