[Herb-students] memorization of formulas

Is there anyone out there in TCM computer land that has mastered the FINE
art of making effective rhymes, stories etc to help them remember the
composition, indications, function of formulas?  I have tried many things
(maybe for not long enough) to see their effectiveness, but, for a western
speaking student - I really find this difficult and frustrating.  Then
sadly, only to be discouraged that after my hard work, I have only
remembered everything in short term memory and have quickly forgotten it.

All help or suggestions or even your rhymes are gratefully appreciated.
