I have a Midland WR100 that I connected the external speaker to the auxiliary Audio input on the controller. This works fine when you turn the audio input on but not when placed in automatic. How do I pull the EXP1 to ground to sense when audio is present on the Aux Audio and transmit the broadcast? It looks like it has a 3.5 mm plug on it. Look for the 18-STR. You could probably use that output somehow, perhaps with an opto-isolator. Let us know how it works out for you.
