From kd6kpc at comcast.net Wed Oct 10 13:21:51 2007 From: kd6kpc at comcast.net (KD6KPC) Date: Wed, 10 Oct 2007 10:21:51 -0700 Subject: [NHRC-user] CTCSS encode/decode Message-ID: <003f01c80b62$0f428f60$0501a8c0@mainpc> I am using an EchoLink node connected via RF to my repeater. The repeater is a GE Mastr Exec II controlled by an NHRC-3. A TS-32 provides tone encode/decode. Using the EchoLink, I need to tone to pass when receiving a signal from a station, but not when the repeater is IDing. Is the passing of the tone, or not passing of the tone when no input signal is being received, a function of the radio, the TS-32, or the controller. I need to figure out how to configure this. I don't know if the TS-64 would solve this problem. I can't find a manual for the TS-32, so I'm not exactly sure how it works. I can only find how to set the jumpers. The TS-64 seems to have more settings. Does anyone know the difference between the TS-64 and the TS-64ds. Is the ds model adding an audio delay circuit? I have one already added on to the controller. - Garrett, KD6KPC -----Original Message----- From: nhrc-user-bounces at nhrc.net [mailto:nhrc-user-bounces at nhrc.net] On Behalf Of Kevin Custer Sent: Wednesday, October 10, 2007 10:58 AM To: NHRC User Community Mailing List Subject: Re: [NHRC-user] CTCSS encode/decode KD6KPC wrote: > I am using an EchoLink node connected via RF to my repeater. The other model requires you to solder little jumps in place to set the tone. I always spend the few extra bucks for the DS model.
