I acoustically coupled a walkie to my laptop speaker to transfer the audio ID. Wimpy, echo'y audio, no bass, sounds like how it was actually played back. I also originated wired audio from a mobile (mike hi was all I could get my hands on), and that was even worse! Possibly a gross impedance mismatch. Can I hard wire -10 dBmv unbalanced audio to some point in the NHRC-5 to get a genuine, full 300-3K frequency response (ie: aux in, etc) ? Thanks, ____________________________________________ Rick Zach, K1RJZ From jeff at nhrc.net Mon Feb 6 06:40:48 2006 From: jeff at nhrc.net (Jeff Otterson) Date: Mon Feb 6 06:38:41 2006 Subject: [NHRC-user] Wimpy, echo'y ID audio, no bass In-Reply-To: <5.1.1.5.2.20060206000320.00bc2710@mail.metrowestsystems.co m> References: <5.1.1.5.2.20060206000320.00bc2710@mail.metrowestsystems.com> Message-ID: <6.1.2.0.2.20060206063754.02e33950@mail.nhrc.net> The receiver input to the NHRC-5 is about 10K ohms impedance. That would be a good place to start. Otherwise, you could conceivable wire in to pin 3 of the DAD connector. You need to have a 1/2 Vcc DC bias here, though. Might be more trouble than it's worth.
