HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORTS UNDERWAY
YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED
As many of you know, the situation resulting from Hurricane Katrina has
become catastrophic. The devastation encompassing the wide area of
Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and the western Florida Panhandle has
worsened. Yesterday, two levees broke in New Orleans, putting a majority
of the city under water. There are serious public health concerns with
scarcity of fresh water supplies, loss of electricity, hospitals
closing, and the possibility of infectious disease.
The Jewish communities in these areas, as well as the broader community
at large, need our help. Your generosity will go a long way in providing
relief to these devastated areas.
