Re 3) : The Parts Tracker can correct that. And if you agree soon the new
distribution can also be fixed to make the current library consistent. I
think I asked this same question in January !

1) all filenames case insensitive is ok
2) I voted yes
3) As discussed in another thread some times ago this is about every line
should have a line end (under dos CRLF) before the file ends. This is only
used for progam authors. I think it is not necessary to make an agreement to
that because both can be handled by progs. I we are going to force a null
line at the end I am not sure that all parts ready for that because if you
code by hand you do not care about this. So I would suggest to allow both.

I'm responding to this message, instead of one further down the chain,
because the link to the scratch pad is right here easy to find.

I just looked at the current state of the scratch pad document, and it
appears that we have 3 things left before ratifying it:

* Update the LDraw 1.0 spec to state that all filenames are always
case insensitive (assuming we agree that that's the right thing to do).
* Add the sticker stuff in, once we agree on it in the separate
thread.
* Deal with the null line comment at the bottom. I'm not sure if it
is talking about a 0 on a line all by itself or an empty line. However,
both should be addressed. My understanding is that empty lines are fine.
It's my opinion that they should be used instead of a 0 all by itself, but
that's just me. However, it doesn't appear that either are mentioned in the
LDraw 1.0 spec or the official parts restrictions doc, so maybe that should
be rectified.

William, please update our scratch pad.

Updated for the co-planar tolerance, also updated for overlapping
lines/cond-lines and overlapping/intersecting polygons

I'm thinking this document is about ready for publishing, unless we or the
part admins want to move all the snippets of info scattered around the LDraw
PT FAQ and other documents into it.
