And another piece of text that needs to be in this document that was in the 1.0 draft spec doc
* All files in the LDraw Parts Library must carry the DAT extension.

The following text/comments were removed from the LDraw File Format 1.0 spec and so need a new home
* Official LDraw filenames (such as parts) may not be more than 25 characters long (including the extension)
and may only contain the following characters: a-z, A-Z, 0-9, _, -, and . (to avoid confusion with
English grammar, comma is not permitted while period (full-stop) is permitted).
* "Write/Print" should note that this is not allowed in official parts files
We probably need a new document for these.
