You have the orientation correct, but maybe an illustration like at
HYPERLINK
"http://www.ldraw.org/library/primref/"http://www.ldraw.org/library/primref/
might be clearer. IIRC, I even drew this as an LDraw dat file.

I've made some of the easier edits (not uploaded the changes anywhere yet)
and removed them from the list.  I've also removed the ones we have agreed
not to do or are already in the spec.

I reckon I can do 1d, 1e, 3b, 9a, and 9c easily over the weekend.

 

I have enough graphics background to make a first attempt at 8a and 8b

 

BUT 5d is well outside my comfort zone so someone else (Travis?) will have

b) The spec should not define what is permitted in an official filename (ie
part file), but this text should be moved to the library header spec

d) Give matrix example(s) and mathematical example

8) Axis orientation

a) Explain the "handedness" of the axis

b) Explain that -y is up

LCH: AGREE - yes, an image is worth a 1000 words...

 


9) Meta commands

a) META commands can do a lot and it should be stated at the beginning.

c) "Write/Print" should note that this is not allowed in official parts
files
WH: AGREE - but interesting to note that some want the spec to include parts
and some don't!
TC: DISAGREE - Should have one spot in spec where we link to "rules for
official parts" in separate document, and keep them out of spec entirely.
LCH: DISAGREE (but agrees with TC's comment)
