Easy to install generally implies that it autodetects and configures -
which implies being a bit more resource hungry. My suggestion is that
you try Fedora 5 which installed perfectly on my Toshiba - with the
exception of the wireless (ipw2100) adapter that requires a binary
driver (and is not in Fedora for that reason).
