I'd be strongly in FAVOUR of moving to a forum rather
than receiving e-Mails ... limited mailbox size and traffic
being just two reasons. In a forum I wouldn't bother reading
posts that I know I can't contribute to while I'd be receiving
them regardlessly on a mailing-list. If I wanted to "preserve"
a thread (I can't understand why people here seem to think
a forum has a disadvantage in this, btw, I think that quite the
opposite is the case. Since several mailers won't keep
track of message headers it will fail, or even worse, if they
do and a person just presses reply-to, changes the subject
and starts his own message I get a thread-view that doesn't
make sense) I can always just save it to a grep-able text file.

Just my 2cents :)
