[linux-laptop] USB touch screen (penmount) problem

Hello,
on my notebook I run SuSE Linux 8.2 and kernel 2.4.22-4GB (self compiled).
Connected to this notebook is a touch screen via USB. I got the latest
package "PenMount USB Linux Driver V1.1.zip" from AMTouch. The kernel driver
compiled fine and the X driver is loaded correctly. Calibration worked fine
and the touch runs perfectly under Linux.
But unfortunately I have to run VMware with Windows on this machine. When I
start VMWare workstation (I tried 4.5 and the newest 5.0) and run Windows
2000 Professional in it, the mouse pointer doesn't react correctly to my
fingertips. It jumps to different places and I cannot detect any regularity
between fingertip and mouse pointer. But when I tip a part of the Linux
desktop (for example the scrollbar if I do not work in full screen modus)
and afterwards to a point in my Windows desktop, the mouse pointer is
exactly positioned in Windows where I tipped.
Does anyone have experiences with USB touch under Linux + VMware?
Greetings,
Siegfried.
