Two of the worlds best software creators on _one market_, that is.

Without a serious competitor, they can basically do what they want. They 
can set prices as high as possible and will not be motivated to improve 
the software.

So while the products could possibly become better, it is more likely 
that the situation of the end-users (us) becomes worse.
