[flashpro] black surround in standalone projector

Is there some newer, higher-tech method of making a standalone projector
have a black surround in the latest version of Flash? In the old days
(last time I made a standalone using Flash) we would add large black
rectangles around the outside of the pasteboard, placing them on the
topmost layer.

The goal is to "crop" the contents of the movie to the actual movie size.
I also do not want the movie to scale (this is easy with fscommand().)

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
