You're probably just butting up against the fact there is no GUI in
front of selecting what's in which slot in an MPI.

You can put directives like this into xroar.conf:

cart mpi
  mpi-load-cart 0=orch90
  mpi-load-cart 3=rsdos
  mpi-slot 3

Which specifies which cart (by short name; use -cart help for a list)
is in which slot.  Here, Orchestra 90 sits in slot 0, RSDOS in slot 3.

The mpi-slot directive is basically the switch on the MPI; here slot 3
will be selected by default on "power up".
