Picnickers,
The Glenside Color Computer Club, Inc. is planning a picnic/outing.
Portillo's (Fast food restaurant)
7740 Roosevelt Rd., Forest Park IL 60130
This is a good location with good parking.
Note: Portillo's is 12 minutes away from the Galloping Ghost Pinball and
Arcade.
Galloping Ghost Arcade, 9415 Ogden Ave, Brookfield, IL 60513
Galloping Ghost Pinball, 9211 Ogden Ave, Brookfield, IL 60513
Arcade is $25.00 for all day; you can leave and return.
Pinball is $20.00 for all day and you can leave and return.
Both are $30 for all day and you can leave and return.

For me, it is best to park at the pinball place and then walk to the arcade.
This is a family-friendly event. Bring your friends and the whole family if
you like.
We may want to plan a date when most people will be in town, like the 26th
and 27th.
One of our members may be in town only for the 26th to attend the TI-FEST.
So, I am leaning toward this date.
Glenside CCC may be willing to pick up some of the cost of the event.
Key Terms:
TI => Texas Instruments
TI-99/4a => 16-bit home computer of the 1980s.
TI-FEST => Chicago TI International World Faire
ab => about
We have two possible dates in mind. Please vote on this forum on what you
would prefer.
Note: Our 1st picnic choice conflicts with the TI-FEST somewhat.
10-25-2024 Fr, ab 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM TI-FEST Supper, Evanston IL
10-26-2024 Sa, at 9:45 AM - 4:00 PM TI-FEST, Evanston IL
10-26-2024 Sa, at 5:30 PM - 11:59 PM 1st Choice Possible Glenside CCC Picnic
10-26-2024 Sa, ab 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM TI-FEST After Faire Dinner and Awards
10-26-2024 Sa, ab 8:30 PM - 11:59 PM Ti-FEST Famous Pub Crawl
10-27-2024 Su, ab 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM TI-FEST Survivor's Breakfast, Evanston
IL
10-27-2024 Su, at 1:00 PM - 11:59 PM 2nd Choice Possible Glenside CCC Picnic
I have a table at the Chicago TI International World Faire, Evanston IL.
The Faire mostly is concerned about the TI-99/4a, but
I am bringing a TI Silent 700 teletype computer terminal.
Come and check it out. About 20-30 people are expected to attend.
This is a club that just keeps carrying on despite low turnout. We can learn
from this.
I like that someone has figured out how to have a low-budget event like
this.
