[Coco] How to solder with older eyes?

All,

I pulled out my soldering iron and before the CoCoFEST! to put together my
analog phone system emulator.
I found it hard to see.
I was hot and sweaty, and I put on my reading glasses as I looked down the
glasses slipped down.
I found I needed to learn how to solder all over again with older eyes.
When I got to the CoCoFEST! I started asking questions about how to solder.
When you have issue x, how do you solve it? What is your technique? I found
I could solve it y way, but how do you do it?
I noticed that some people wear headgear with a magnifier.
I wanted to know what kind I should buy.
