I hadn't actually heard of diptrace before this thread, but it turns out
there's a reason for that.  One of the main advantages of kicad for me is:

$ sudo apt install kicad

Mind you I thought it would be much the same story about FreeCAD,
but that one frustrates me so much I rage quit.  But only after _it_
did many, many times ;)
